Meet Mark

Mark Kovi keeps beverage bottling and canning lines running. He started as a Mercedes mechanic. The machines got bigger; the tolerance did not. Millimeters still matter.

He is not a desk consultant. The rhythm is the one ReclaimTime is built for: leave home, work the site, come back, bill for what actually happened.

A typical week is more than one plant. A plane, 8–12 hour days, six or eight tasks to keep a line online, then another site. He is moving the whole time. Between jobs he is walking to the next machine, not opening a timesheet.

He is in year one of running it himself. About 8–10 clients, on purpose — quality and a process he can trust. If an hour does not get captured, it does not get billed.

Before

The work was never the hard part. The record was.

At a larger company, the timesheet was end-of-trip paperwork. Same problem: nothing captured in the moment. By the time he sat down, a six- or eight-task day had already gone cold.

Hours without context do not invoice. The client approver needs a work report. The billing team needs an invoice. Both have to match what happened on the floor.

Now

He stays on the work.

When a task is done and he is about to walk to the next machine, he opens the ReclaimTime thread, taps the microphone, and says the client, the hours, and what he did — including regular time vs overtime when the day ran long. Send. Next task.

Travel and meetings go the same way. He bills home to back home: the plane, the sit-down, the work on the line. Same thread. Speak it. Send.

During the week he checks the dashboard on his phone — add a client note, confirm a task is already there. He is not reconstructing Friday from a cold trail.

When it’s time to bill

He downloads a CSV. That file becomes two documents: a work report for the person who approves the work, and an invoice for the client’s billing team.

Mark has captured 527 hours — about $92k in billables — since March 2026.
